What it does

Most fitness apps are built for the people who already love working out. They assume you want to optimise, track macros, chase streaks and build programs from scratch. Reboot assumes the opposite. You are a beginner, or coming back after a break, or you just want to move without a setup ritual.

So Reboot hands you a ready-made workout and gets out of the way. No gamification, no social feed, no streak guilt. Just 39 ready-to-go sessions across strength, mobility and rehab, a calm interface, and a voice that roasts gym culture instead of roasting you.

It is private by default. You can use the entire core app without an account, and your health data never leaves your phone unless you choose to back it up.

Key features

Beginner-first, not enthusiast-first. Built for the 95%, not the 5% who love spreadsheets and personal records. Your first workout is two taps away: pick, preview, start.

39 workouts, zero setup. Ready-made sessions for strength, mobility and rehab, from a five-minute reset to a full-body strength grind. The right moves, sets and form cues are already loaded. Swap any move for one that hits the same muscles.

A voice that never shames you. Reboot is funny without being mean. It punches up at gym culture, never down at you. Finish a session and it simply says: You showed up.

No streaks, no guilt, no social. No leaderboards, no followers, no comparison. A fitness app that is not trying to manipulate you into opening it.

Private and local-first. Use the whole core app without an account. Your raw Apple Health data stays on your device. Cloud backup is optional, and analytics are anonymous, with no ad IDs and no cross-app tracking.

Apple Watch and Live Activities. A companion Apple Watch app, plus Dynamic Island and Lock Screen Live Activities, so an active workout follows you out of the app without ever feeling bolted on.

How it works

  1. Pick a workout. Browse the ready-made sessions or start from a suggested one. No building, no configuring.
  2. Preview, then press start. See the moves, sets and form cues, then begin. The guided runtime handles set logging, rest timers and a pre-workout countdown.
  3. Finish, and feel like coming back. A supportive summary, personal records when you earn them, and a quiet “you showed up” instead of a guilt trip.
  4. Add depth when you want it. Multi-week programs and a custom builder are there when you are ready, and tucked away until then.

Pricing

Reboot is free to start, and honestly priced when you want everything.

Free gives you a couple of workouts each week with the full guided experience, local-first and with no account.

Premium unlocks all 39 workouts, the custom workout builder, the Apple Watch app, and full history and progress. It is $1.99 per month, $17.99 per year, or a one-time $39.99 lifetime for people who would rather not subscribe, with a 14-day trial on the recurring plans.

Who it’s for

People who find most fitness apps exhausting before they have even worked out: beginners, returners, and the “I just want to move” crowd who know the hardest part is showing up. If you want a storefront, a subscription you will forget, a social feed or a leaderboard, Reboot is deliberately not that.

Frequently asked

Do I need an account?

No. Reboot is local-first, so you can use the entire core app without signing up. Sign-in is optional and only used for cloud backup and restoring purchases.

Is my health data private?

Yes. Your raw Apple Health data stays on your device and is never synced to a server. Optional cloud backup only covers app data you choose to save, and analytics are anonymous.

Do I need equipment?

No. Many workouts are bodyweight-only. Others use dumbbells or gym machines, and each session tells you upfront.

Is it good for total beginners?

That is exactly who it is for, with plain-language names, form cues and machine-guided options so you can focus on moving rather than figuring things out.

Does it work on Apple Watch?

Yes. There is a companion Apple Watch app, plus Dynamic Island and Lock Screen Live Activities.

Is there a streak or leaderboard?

No, and that is on purpose. No streaks, no leaderboards, no social feed. Just workouts and quiet encouragement.
