Millwork is a small team turning product judgement into working artefacts: native apps, web tools, AI workflows, prototypes and client systems. The software the studio ships is delightful: beautiful UX, designed to solve a real-world problem, not a demo dressed up as one.
Some of the work exists to test a new technology the team is excited about, or simply to explore something it's curious about. Some are speculative prototypes of technology the team believes should exist. And the studio writes about where software, business, product, design and AI are heading.
The studio runs an applied-AI consulting layer for teams that want AI to become useful work: data-analysis projects, AI transition consulting, AI training for organisations, workshops for software design and design prototypes, and early-stage software built to test real business problems, not just apps and websites.
An engagement with a large Australian university, running a live data pipeline that analyses contractor-performance and service-ticket data against SOPs. Correctness, evals and human review were treated as core product requirements, because the outputs inform real operational decisions.
Running AI enablement transitions and hands-on training for organisations of up to 30 knowledge workers, moving teams from curiosity to dependable daily practice across product, design, engineering, operations, sales and finance. The measure is adoption that sticks, not a one-off workshop high.
A full Information Security Management System assembled agentically from interview loops and transcripts, with a single orchestrator turning conversations into a compliant, bespoke system. Work that would normally take a team of subject-matter experts and months of effort, compressed into a guided, auditable build.
Reusable AI skills shared as intellectual property and refined with the same interview system, including per-skill improvement and pruning loops so each one sharpens on an individual basis over time. Released openly as a public repository for others to build on.
