Room bookings that feel like Tend.
Tend Rooms is a purpose-built booking platform for Tend Mental Health. It helps psychologists and allied health staff book rooms across locations, handle the practical admin around payments and maintenance, and stay close to the information they need.
What it does
Tend Rooms is a room booking application built specifically for Tend Mental Health.
Tend works across multiple locations, with staff members and allied health professionals needing reliable access to consulting rooms. Existing tools such as Skater were too expensive for the job and did not feel especially connected to the way Tend works. Tend Rooms is the calmer, more tailored version: focused booking, payment and operations software for one real organisation with one real set of needs.
Staff can log in, find the right location, book available rooms, see upcoming bookings, manage payments, check maintenance notices and access the operational knowledge base. The goal is not to make room booking clever. The goal is to make it quiet, dependable and easy enough that nobody has to think about the system while they are trying to do clinical work.
Product shape
The product sits between scheduling, operations and internal knowledge. A good Tend Rooms session might be as simple as:
- Choose a location.
- See rooms, availability and relevant notes.
- Book the room for a client session.
- Confirm the payment arrangement.
- Notice any upcoming maintenance or access changes.
- Find the policy or how-to article needed for the day.
For administrators, the same system should make it easier to manage rooms across locations, keep staff informed, avoid double bookings and reduce the manual back-and-forth that builds up around shared spaces.
Design direction
Tend Rooms should feel like it belongs inside a mental health practice. Calm colours, earthy tones, generous spacing, soft hierarchy and low-friction flows. It should slow the room down a little.
That matters commercially too. This is an internal operations tool, but staff still need to trust it and use it. If the interface feels harsh, cluttered or generic, the system will create more noise. The design intent is the opposite: still, warm, competent.
Status
Tend Rooms is in development as a private platform for Tend Mental Health. This page is a public catalogue placeholder for now, with fuller screenshots and feature detail to follow once the app has more interface material worth showing.
