Support — Wrecklight
Wrecklight is a one-thumb survival roguelite for iPhone. You are stranded beside a crashed craft, and the beacon keeping you armed is the same signal drawing the hollow towards you.
If you need a hand with the game, you are in the right place.

Email tom@millwork.studio and we will get back to you.
When you write, it helps to include:
- your iOS version (Settings > General > About > Software Version),
- your device model (for example, iPhone 16 Pro Max),
- the version of Wrecklight you have installed (Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Wrecklight),
- and a short description of what happened, with a screenshot if you have one.
Playing
How do I move?
Touch anywhere in the lower-left of the screen and drag. The control centres under your thumb, follows you on long drags, and releasing stops you. There is no fixed virtual stick to find.
Why won’t my weapon fire?
It already is. Weapons aim and fire automatically, so your thumb stays on movement and positioning. Your second weapon, the Shard Shotgun, equips at level 3 and has its own reload, shown on the weapon rack.
How do I heal?
Hull regenerates on its own after thirty seconds without taking hull damage. Shields are separate: only mined crystals recharge them, and the charge action appears when you have enough crystals and a depleted shield.
How do I mine crystals?
Stand still near a purple deposit and harvesting begins automatically. Fragments and the changing artwork on the deposit show your progress.
How do I restore the craft?
Find the marked components, carry them back to the wreck, then deposit your crystals and salvage into secured stock to pay for the restoration. Discretionary spending will not let you consume crystals the mission still needs, so you cannot lock yourself out of finishing.
Be ready before you commit. Restoring the craft triggers Signal Saturation, which raises the threat, thins ordinary rewards and summons the Hunter. Beat it and an extraction window opens.
What happens when I die?
You keep everything you transmitted or deposited, a fifth of what you were still carrying, and every discovery you made. Extracting keeps all of it, plus a completion bonus. Creatures you have met stay in the Atlas Bestiary through failed runs.
Saves and progress
Does the game save automatically?
Yes. Wrecklight saves regularly during a run, at every decision point, and whenever the app becomes inactive. If you leave mid-fight and come back, combat is still paused, waiting for you to resume.
Where is my progress stored?
On your device, in the app’s private storage. There is no account and no cloud sync, so progress does not move between devices, and deleting the app removes it. See the privacy policy for the detail.
I lost my run after the app closed
Runs are written atomically, so an interrupted save should never leave a broken file. If a run does go missing, please email us with your device model, your iOS version and roughly what you were doing at the time, and we will look into it.
Sound and accessibility
Can I turn the sound down?
Settings has independent controls for sound effects and ambient audio, a volume slider and a test sound. The game respects the iPhone Silent switch and mixes with other audio, so you can play with a podcast running.
The effects are too busy
Turn on Reduced effects in Settings. Ground marks, aim lines and enemy telegraphs stay visible, so nothing you need for counterplay disappears with it. Creature contrast raises the separation between creatures and the background, and haptics can be turned off separately.
Is the text scalable?
Yes. The game uses relative text styles, so it follows your Dynamic Type size. Colour is never the only way a state is shown: signal names, icons and numbers carry the same information.
Reporting a bug
The most useful reports say what you expected, what happened instead, and how to get back to it. If you can, include the mission you were on, your loadout and your level. Send it to tom@millwork.studio.
